Programme
January - December 2026
As part of the programme for MS NextGen’s 30 under 30: Class of 2026, we will offer a structured framework of events, mentorship groups, peer networking sessions and personal development tasks to:
- Equip participants with skills and insights to become future leaders and innovators
- Build a supportive 30 under 30 2026 cohort community
- Offer exposure to a wide range of industry perspectives, experiences and insights
- MS NextGen's mentorship programme runs January to December 2026
Proposed 12-month framework
Programme launch | MS NextGen’s 30 under 30: Class of 2026 announcement via Mortgage Strategy, introductory briefing, and virtual kick-off session. |
Monthly calls/check-ins | Each mentor will be assigned a minimum of 3 mentees to arrange and conduct monthly check-ins. |
Up to 10 x workshops (hosted by mentors across the year) | All mentees will be invited to attend each single-topic workshop focusing on different areas including key industry challenges. |
3 x roundtables | Each mentee will attend 1 x roundtable with 3-4 mentors to set a key task or challenge. |
Mid-year networking event | In-person event with mentors, mentees and Mortgage Strategy/Mortgage Advice Bureau teams. |
Graduation Showcase | Hosted at Mortgage Innovation & Technology Live event in December 2026 – Cohort reflections and celebration. |
MS NextGen's mentorship programme runs January to December 2026. This programme has been designed for participation by a maximum of 10 mentors and 30 mentees.
Workshop elements
- Guest speakers or panels (industry leaders, past innovators)
- Small group exercises or case studies
- Personal development tasks (e.g. creating a personal action plan)

Objectives
- Selected sponsorship mentors will support mentees in their career and personal growth
- Facilitate industry knowledge transfer and networking
- Encourage mutual learning and accountability
Expectations
For mentors
- Commit to at least 3 structured sessions per year per mentee (suggested: virtual or in-person)
- Provide guidance on professional development, leadership skills, and industry insights
- Encourage mentees to set and track goals
- Maintain confidentiality and an open, supportive environment
For mentees
- Take ownership of their development goals and prepare for meetings
- Be open to feedback and new perspectives
- Respect mentors' time and commitments
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Suggested mentoring structure
- Kick-off session: Set expectations, share career aspirations, agree on goals
- Mid-point check-in(s): Discuss progress, challenges, and adjust goals if needed
- Final review session: Reflect on achievements, lessons learned, and next steps
